John Boyega is a British actor, known for playing Finn in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015). Boyega rose to prominence in his native United Kingdom for his role of Moses in the 2011 sci-fi comedy film Attack the Block (2011),
before attaining international recognition for his work as Finn in the seventh film of the Star Wars series.

John began acting at a young age, playing a leopard in a play at the age of 5.
He attended the Westminster City school as a teenager, taking part in various school theatrical productions.
He took classes at Theatre Peckham before enrolling to the South Thames College in Wandsworth as a performing arts student.
John’s theatrical career continued with roles in plays Six Parties at the National Theatre and in Category B in the Tricycle Theatre.
John made the leap to film in 2011, starring in the sci-fi film Attack The Block. In 2014, John was announced as the role of Finn in the film, Star Wars
